With HTML code, you can choose a different type face, size or color as well as add bold, underlined or italics to your post. Think of HTML codes as a series of ON/OFF switches that dictate when to turn on or off a format change.

 = this "tag" turns on bold face type
 = this "tag" turn off bold face type

If in the Comments field you typed: Nobody's tougher than Jack Reacher! ... After you hit "Preview Message" your post would read: Nobody's tougher than Jack Reacher!

Here's a QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE to some simple text modifications:

 Text between these tags will be bold.

 Text between these tags will be in italics.

 Text between these tags will be underlined.

 Text between these tags will be in the Verdana font. Most font names will work, such as Arial, Helvetica or Courier.

 Text between these tags will be red. Most simple color names will work, such as blue, purple, pink or orange. Puce as the name of a color probably wouldn't work but, hey, when has "puce" ever worked as a color?

 Text between these tags will be one size larger; you can increase the size proportionally using numbers 1-7.

 Text between these tags will be one size smaller; you can decrease the size proportionally using numbers 1-7.

There are many more options that the use of HTML can offer. If you're interested, try Googling for more code examples - try something like "HTML dictionary" or "HTML examples" for example. Even the Library of Congress has a glossary of HTML http://lcweb.loc.gov/iug/html/category.html. By the time you look at all these sites, you'll probably be wanting to curse me...but please consider how hard I labored to find them for you before buying that Eye of Newt.

Optional Link URL field:

Using this field is how you can insert a clickable link to another web page in your post. If you typed http//www.google.com in the Optional Link URL field then put "Google Search Directory" in the Link Title field, at the bottom of your post you would see Google Search Directory. Clicking on it would open an internet window to Google.com.

Optional Image URL field:

This is even more fun than the Link URL field. Here you can add pictures or animated gifs to your post. Just type in the URL (don't forget the http://www part) of your chosen picture or gif and we'll do the rest. First time trying this, you may have to play around a bit - but that's what the "Preview Message" button is for!
