Nothing to Lose in the US, Summer 2008

NOTHING TO LOSE

On sale June 3rd in the US and Canada!

At this very moment, Lee's in LA at Book Expo America shaking a whole lotta hands and signing books for a long line of librarians and bookstore personnel. Don't worry, it'll be your turn soon as the US tour for NOTHING TO LOSE kicks off in a few days on Tuesday with a luncheon at The Mystery Bookstore of LA. Check out the website APPEARANCES page for details on all the tour events.

So far, it's been an incredible year for Reacher and we have all of you to thank. The paperback of BAD LUCK AND TROUBLE debuted at #1 on the London Sunday Times bestsellers list and while still at #1, the hardcover of NOTHING TO LOSE debuted at #1, too. (Only one other crime writer has had simultaneous #1 hits in London. Can you guess who? He writes or co-writes five books a year.)

But the list-mania doesn't stop there. Two weeks later, the paperback of BAD LUCK AND TROUBLE debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestsellers list. Pressure, anyone? There are a lot of people waiting breathlessly to see where Reacher lands on the NYT list next...so, please, remember when you purchase NOTHING TO LOSE on Tuesday, you're doing your part to alleviate Reacher's performance anxiety. (When Lee reads this newsletter, he's going to fire me.)

If you can't make any of Lee's appearances this time around (Lee really hopes you can or why else would he do this continent-crossing whirlwind tour?), you can pre-order a signed and/or inscribed copy of NOTHING TO LOSE from any of the bookstores listed on his tour—and you can follow his progress via Lee's NOTHING TO LOSE Tour Blog. Entries for the US leg of this year's tour are already posted online.

Speaking of the tour blog, if you have any pictures of Lee on his 2008 tour (hopefully with you in them) and would like to see your smiling face on Lee's website, email us your photo and we'll try to fit it into either the Blog or the Scrapbook. There's some doozies from last year's tour (thank you, Betty Baun!)

We hope you enjoy the continuing adventures of Reacher in NOTHING TO LOSE!

Webmaven Maggie

P.S. The current schedule as outlined on the website APPEARANCES page covers all 2008 events; there are no additional events planned for this year (in case you're wondering.)

P.P.S. If you have plans to attend Lee's NYC signing at B&N, please send us an email.
